The effect appears to show as an Encumbrance increase, but it’s not. The instant you close the console, though, the game is UNpaused (rendering resumes) and Encumbrance is almost instantly reset! This is because the game is recalculating Encumbrance = 5*Strength every frame to catch Fortify/Drain/Damage Strength effects as they happen.Įither use Fortify Strength to increase Encumbrance, or Overencumber yourself then use Feather to reduce the weight you’re carrying. Perfectly logical! In the console, the game is paused (not rendering) so you CAN increase Encumbrance and even confirm the new value is set OK. Short answer is Yes you can AND No you can’t.
